Horrifying CPE exams!

Certificate of Primary Education when ripped it is called CPE.... A horrifying 3 alphabets for standard 6 kids. Indeed its the educational system of Mauritius, CPE which is the first true and difficult assessment of a kid in the educational examination world.

When I supervised for std , anxiety, stress, worry and concern could be read from the kids face. For some its as if it will be the last day of their life when they will get their result....what a trauma!
Some kids are troubles and pressurize by their parents or schools who want them to pass brightly as its a dream for some, maybe called a showoff for others.

I still remember mine :)  a horrifying exams I had!!but luckily I was in Saudi Arabia when results was announced I was enjoying myself and was away from this stress, n yes I passed :) Ouf the d-day didn't turn to be one of the worst day of my life....in a stressing mode.

The d-day of the result, finally its out ... tremendous stress what will happen for both parents and kids. When I was giving out the results to some parents, a smile could not be seen on the kids face or that of the parent. A ,mother was so stressed that before giving her the result she started to weep. Had to make her sit and calm her, but luckily her child passed very well.

To conclude it can be said that CPE is truly a great assessment for kids...... Hmmm a Horrifying one!

Facebook.....A trend!

"Facebook".......on the lips of mostly all people around the world everyday! It is an addiction for some and leisure time for others.  Through communication methods like PC, or mobile one can directly uses his Facebook account.  It has become a trend nowadays, I will not say fashion as it changes but a trend which continues. It has been so many years

Facebook began as a social network and today it is still maintains its leadership. Youngsters spend most of time on it....(like me), spying on friends wall, changing status, commenting, tagging but oldies are no way left behind. Nowadays many elders are on Facebook only to know what is this new trend as it is on the mouth of many's!

A controversial part of FB is that people spend most of time on it while ignoring other tasks. But I must admit that FB has a superb positive aspect which is having information about a page that you like, whether news on your favorite team,or  on religion...as at the end of the day you learn a lot from your FB page.

There is so much to say but thinking to keep some later.................... :)

Celebration Of Eid-Ul-Adha

Eid-ul-Adha is, according to Islamic teaching, a time for Muslims to learn the value of self-denial by making a sacrifice of something living to God.

During the celebration of Eid Ul-Adha, Muslims commemorate and remember Abraham's trials, by themselves slaughtering an animal such as a sheep, camel, or goat. This action is very often misunderstood by those outside the faith.
Allah has given us power over animals and allowed us to eat meat, but only if we pronounce His name at the solemn act of taking life. Muslims slaughter animals in the same way throughout the year. By saying the name of Allah at the time of slaughter, we are reminded that life is sacred.
The meat from the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha is mostly given away to others. One-third is eaten by immediate family and relatives, one-third is given away to friends, and one-third is donated to the poor. The act symbolizes our willingness to give up things that are of benefit to us or close to our hearts, in order to follow Allah's commands. It also symbolizes our willingness to give up some of our own bounties, in order to strengthen ties of friendship and help those who are in need. We recognize that all blessings come from Allah, and we should open our hearts and share with others.
